World Class Plastics, Inc., is a privately held thermoplastic injection molder, tool builder, and secondary operations company driven by Leadership, Training and Process Control. We operate 26 injection molding presses in a 47,000 square foot, extremely clean, new facility, in Russells Point, Ohio and a 7,000 square foot facility in Rome, Georgia. We also maintain a 10,000 square foot warehouse located in Lakeview, Ohio. We directly employ eighty-five associates and operate twenty four hours, seven days per week for our customers, with a team oriented, non-union work force.
Our "Lean Manufacturing" production strategy combined with our commitment to training, cellular manufacturing, automation, and dedication to a 5S Housekeeping practice has allowed us to produce and ship over 6,000,000 close tolerance parts per month with an exceptionally low PPM defect record. Our current supplier ratings from all of our customers are excellent and our delivery rating since beginning business in 1994 has been near perfect, with lead times as short as 24 hours. Approximately 800,000 of these 6,000,000 parts are assembled by WCPI and our associated vendors on equipment we have designed and constructed.
Currently World Class Plastics produces, assembles, insert molds and pad prints over 500 different close tolerance / visually critical automotive interior components, clips, fasteners, air bag parts, seating, and other various elements for customers in the automotive, dental, and industrial industries. We produce directly for such companies as Neaton Auto Products, Worthington Industries, Nippon Industrial Fasteners Company (NIFCO America), Setex Incorporated, and TS Tech USA.
Customers such as Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Chrysler, Ford and North American Lighting use our products. Other customers that we produce directly for include; GM, Ada Technologies, Kerr Sybron, Siemens Energy & Automation, Westbrook Manufacturing, and K&N Engineering.
We believe that quality starts with a firm commitment by its leaders to put systems in place that prevent nonconforming product and promotes a desire by our Associates to produce product to our customer's specifications. Our receiving, start-up, in process, final inspections, and "SPC (statistical process control) part discrimination chutes" are designed to prevent defects and allow Molding Technicians a method to arrive at the root cause of a problem and prevent it from recurring.
Project management and concurrent engineering coupled with the latest tool experience and injection molding expertise allows us to continuously add value for our customers. Our focus on product success begins with part design and accelerated tool completion. With 2D/3D CAD for part and tool design, 3 and 2-axis CNC milling machines, CNC RAM EDM with tool changer, and precision grinders for build and repair, we are able to offer accelerated tool builds and provide continued on-time delivery of product.
