WCPI Earns Supplier Award from Worthington Cylinders
Worthington, OH - World Class Plastics attended the Worthington Cylinders Annual Supplier Conference on May 23, 2012. There, WCPI was recognized as a certified supplier for the 2011 calendar year.
Becoming a certified supplier at Worthington Cylinders is no easy feat. Extraordinary performance, with regard to quality, on-time delivery, and corrective action must be achieved. Further, suppliers are scored on continuous improvement, as well as price competitiveness.
World Class Plastics has now been recognized as a certified supplier five years – 2011, 2010, 2008, 2007, and 2005.
WCPI installs new Sumitomo Press
Russells Point, OH - World Class Plastics installed a brand new Sumitomo plastic injection molding machine in February 2012.
This all-electric, 350 metric ton machine will be known internally as Press #41, and will bring the facility's total number of injection molding machines to 25. The number of 350 ton machines will grow to 4. For a complete listing of machine capability see this page.
Press #41 will add more capacity to World Class Plastics' growing production facility in west-central Ohio. The additional machine will allow for new projects, as manufacturing continues to rebound in the US.
WCPI Earns China Compulsory Certification (CCC)
On 11-15-11 WCPI completed its initial CCC (China Compulsory Certification) audit for automotive interior components. The two day audit was conducted by associates of the China Quality Certification.
On 1-12-12 WCPI received its CCC (China Compulsory Certification) certificate that allows the company to produce and ship injection molded parts to China.
WCPI Earns Supplier Award from Worthington Cylinders
On May 25, 2011 Jim Knox, VP of Manufacturing, Melissa A. Dingus, Senior Regulatory and Project Engineer from Worthington Cylinders awarded WCPI Supplier of the Year 2010.
Not all suppliers that are eligible achieve the certification. WCPI scored 100% in all 4 quarters in 2010 in Corrective Action, ISO/Quality, and Delivery.
To be eligible for certification (the award), a supplier must meet a minimum of two "A" and two "B" quarterly scores (based on a calendar year).
Once the eligibility criteria has been met, Worthington Cylinders rates the eligible suppliers on several value-added categories (Continuous Improvement, Timeliness in Response, Price Competitiveness, etc.).
WCPI has also earned this award in 2008, 2007, and 2005
